  • Institutional strengthening

The total loan of K115 million became effective in February 2000 of which GoPNG is to provide K43 million. Due to poor counterpart funding from GoPNG, ADB increased its counterpart funding which effectively reduced the road lengths to be maintained. A supplementary loan has been successful to maintain up to the original scope of works. The project has been extended to 2010. 13 sub-projects have been approved under this program.
