The proposed establishment of the Management Services Division came about as part of the overall re-organization of the Department to re-align resources to improve the management of human resource issues.
Personnel Management Branch
The Personnel Management Branch is a Human Resources Management function. The branch plays an important role in the Workforce as a vital Human Resource Component contributing towards the goals and objectives of the department with the utilization of several support services, comprising of the Staff & salaries, Organization & Manpower, Recruitment, Staff & Industrial and the general Office Services.
Human Resource Development Branch
The Human Resource Development is responsible for training and developing national staff to gain relevant qualification and competencies necessary to help achieve the Department's objectives and manpower requirements whilsts offering technical training opportunities to organizations and individuals throughout Papua new Guinea and the South Pacific region.
Policy Planning Branch
The branch is made up of three sections; Research, Policy and Printing. Their main function is to coordinate all policy matters pertaining to the Department and its stakeholders and to ensure there is proper dissemination of information to the general public about the activities of the Department.
