Survey and Lands carries out engineering surveys for design purposes, including aerial photography and topographic mapping. The primary responsibilities of the Branch include;

• Undertake land investigation over land required for DoW projects.
• Execution of cadastral and engineering surveys to enable design to be carried out on roads, bridges and buildings.
• Coordinate the activities of consultants engaged in the execution of survey contracts to carry out infrastructure design as well as supervise in-house surveys undertaken by branch staff.
• Update and maintain existing technical, administrative and procedural manuals.
