Architect & Building has a two-fold function.

• To provide Architectural Design, documentation and related technical advisory service to all National Government Departments, statutory organizations and to a limited extent private individuals and organizations.
• Through the Building Inspectors and Provincial Building Boards, manage, coordinate, implement and monitor the PNG Building Act & Regulations (Chapter 301) 1994 in conjunction with all associated Building and Construction Standards and Codes in the country.
